Sinulog 2010
January 22, 2010 § 2 Comments
Sinulog is one of (if not) the grandest festivals in the Philippines. It starts off with the 9 days Novena at the Basilica del Santo Niño. The main festival which is the Grand Parade is held each year on the third Sunday. It is essentially a dance ritual which remembers the Filipino people’s pagan past and their acceptance of Christianity.
As a Cebuano, I grew up celebrating this festival. I don’t think my family has ever missed it. This year is no different.
