Over Time

“Over time
when the times passes by
it will be a heartache in the memory
don’t need to forget
since it will just all fade away
just like that
just like that…”

If only this song was released when I was actually heartbroken, I would have sung this day in and out. Even now when I am not, my heart can almost (or maybe it really does) feel the pain. Sang by Korean singer Baek Ji Young, one just can’t help but shed a tear or two. Her voice is amazing and has so much emotion.

One does not need to know Hangeul to appreciate the song. The song itself, even without the lyrics is heartbreaking. Add a sad video and we get a lovely treat.

Enjoy the video below. I also included an English translation for the lyrics.

English translation:

Further and further away
the image begins to fade away
call out just once
walk away acting like you didn’t hear
why do you keep looking back
it makes me want to hold onto you
sorry
don’t make yourself so vulnerable
please don’t

over time
when the times passes by
it will be a heartache in the memory
don’t need to forget
since it will just all fade away
just like that
just like that

over time
when the time passes by
i’ll bring out my courage and give you a call
if such time comes at such moment
at that time i wonder if i can laugh about it
on the day we meet again
i’ll wait here until that day comes
here, for you
for you

over time
even if the time passes
even over time it passes
if you want to see me even then
what should i do?
what can i do?
what I
because time will pass either way

over time,
as time passes by
something of a heartache in the memory
there is no need to forget
since it will fade away with time
i’m sure it will turn out that way
over time
