Lol, not really. This post is….. about the new addition to my favorite series list ever(!), Lost Girl.
Lost Girl is a Canadian supernatural crime drama series about Bo, a succubus who didn’t know who/what she is and her quest to find the parents who abandoned her while learning to control and enhance her powers. The show premiered in September 2010 in Canada and is currently on it’s third season. I’ve just started watching it (on the 7th episode as of this writing) and I can’t stop. To say the least, I am very much taken by the show especially by Bo. :D
Bo is played by Anna Silk. She’s sexy and seductive and so succubie. Just look at the picture above. Gosh. I’d happily agree to be a L as long as she’s my partner. Hahaha. Also, it is very surprising that she’s 39 years old. She definitely doesn’t look it. So Bo is the main character. She is a succubus but didn’t know she was one until she met others of her kind, the Fae. And this was after she saved Kenzi by feeding on the man who attacked the latter.
Kenzi is the human Bo saved. They became best friends and business partners after this encounter. I love Kenzi as much as Bo. (So many L feelings.) She’s clever, quick-witted and loyal. Her one-liners are very funny. Her normal style is goth but she is adept at disguising which is useful for the Private Investigation firm she and Bo run.
And Dyson, the yummy wolf-shifter, Bo’s romantic interest. He’s a Light Fae and a cop in the human world. He and his partner Hale make sure that Fae crimes are kept out of public to help conceal the Faes’ existence. He helps Bo with her PI cases and also by having sex with Bo so she can feed and heal. Those scenes are very very sexy. Lol.
Aside from the main characters and all the sexiness, the Lost Girl world is fascinating. I am also currently reading The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series, and the use of mythology characters and creatures for both series are fresh, smart and exciting.
Alright. Enough writing. I need to watch one episode before work. Below are the season 1 trailer and clips of Kenzi being her fantastic self. =D[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00SYv6-w-24] [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBFOSKKVXnI]

Happy Valentine’s Day!
I didn’t want to use the normal greeting because well uhmmm it’s common. I have done a couple other Feb. 14 posts and I was running out of title ideas. Really an indication that I shouldn’t write about it anymore. Come @thecraigreeder for the best V-Day greeting ever!
Valentine’s Day is among a handful of days that highlight one’s relationship status. Even at work, we’re asked to dress our status. Green for Single. (Why green?!? Eco-friendly?) For most, it can be depressing. Not for me. Whatever is my status during this day, I always am happy.
How is that you might ask. It’s because I don’t think of Valentine’s day as just a day for romantic love. This day is about love. All types of love. And it can be celebrated in a lot more ways than what is commercially packaged. If one realizes this, then there is never a reason to feel anything but happy on this wonderful day. Love is all around. Let’s bask in it. :)
Sure, roses and chocolates and cards are sweet and make one feel giddy inside. But roses wilt, chocolates digested and cards can be torn. Lol. I am not bitter. Just being realistic.
So if you’re single and in a corner crying because you’re not on a date, don’t despair. Go out with your family. No family around? Ask your other single friends out and party. No single friends available? Love yourself. Treat yourself. Go out to the gym/spa, go shopping, do whatever it is that makes you happy on a normal day.
Valentine’s day is a good day to express your love and gratitude to all the people you love including oneself. Let’s take this opportunity to do that.
This is the perfect day to share this absolutely wonderful short by Disney. It’s probably been shared a million times but I still wanted to post it so when I grow old and read my past writings, I’ll be reminded of this gem.[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=aTLySbGoMX0]
