2016 Reading Challenge
January 4, 2016 § Leave a comment
Alrighty! I’m pumped up to start this year’s challenge after not reading anything (not even comics) since September. Aside from all the things that happened last year, the last book I read, “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins did a number on me. It wasn’t a difficult read however it was very engaging and I got emotionally invested on it.
For 2016, I committed to reading 12 books on Goodreads. I know it’s significantly less than last year’s (24). This because I have to make up for last year’s count: the comics bumped up my numbers. So this year, I’m reading 12 and then another 8.
I’ve already decided on the first three books: “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” by Alan Dean Foster, “Modern Romance” by Aziz Ansari, and “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.
And that’s it for reading challenges updates. I hope I can do more reviews this year for the books I finished.
2015 Reading Challenge (Initial and Final Update)

This one can pass as not late, lol. When 2015 started, I was excited to start reading the Doctor Who book I got over Christmas 2014 and things just kinda continued from there. I kept forgetting to wrap up my 2014 reading challenge and do an initial post for 2015.
And yep, I also completed 2015’s challenge. Yayers!
Below are the titles I read:
I have to admit the comics really bumped up my numbers. So counting the comics from the same series as one, my total would just be 16 and I committed to 24. :( I plan to remedy that on the 2016 reading challenge though. More on this on the next reading challenge post.
The thing about this year’s reads are that I love every single one of them. I’d recommend them to anyone. I also read 3 more for the second challenge. That makes it 7 out of 32 books.
2016 reading challenge initial post up next!
2014 Reading Challenge (Final Update)

I know I know. This is one uber late post. The first of three for reading challenges. For reasons, please read the last three or four personal updates.
I am happy to report that for the 3rd year in a row, my reading challenge was a success.
Below are the books I read:
The book with no picture is “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Avril Tremayne. Okay so there are 6 comics and 1 short story on the list, so that may be kind of cheating. However, I read a lot of free books on Wattpad that aren’t on Goodreads so it balances. I didn’t get far on my 2nd reading challenge and read 4 books out of 31. I’m not too disappointed though because there isn’t a deadline for that challenge. On to the next reading challenge post.
